Lost Acorn is a rock opera band likened to Queen, Abba, and Fleetwood Mac
The band is composed of five members:
Amy Jo Claffey: Composer and lyricist of all our songs—keyboard—lead vocals
AmyBeth Fisher—vocals
Ashley Keith—drums
Lily Shirley—bass, acoustic guitar, clarinet
Hannah Fisher—vocals and beatboxing
Band Biography:
Lost Acorn is an all-girl Idaho indie band founded by singer/songwriter/pianist Amy Jo Claffey. Amy Jo writes all original, refreshing music and compelling lyrics. Her music ranges from… okay let’s be honest here, blah blah blah, you’re reading another band bio, oh joy. The truth is, Lost Acorn’s music is so irresistible, you have to come out and see. A Lost Acorn show is a good time waiting to meet you. Kind of like a first date that goes surprisingly well and you leave wanting to see them again. Lost Acorn will do that to you. With memorable piano riffs, dynamic vocals, sweet harmonies, thought-provoking lyrics, melt-in-your-mouth to rock-solid rhythms; Amy Jo's music feels like rock opera got lost in a forest and met a wandering keyboard and they had a music baby. The music of Lost Acorn is a unique mixture of rock and rhythm with acoustic and popular music leanings, while remaining firmly rooted in the aesthetic of a modern singer/songwriter.
Lost Acorn is Idaho’s all-girl band! We have Amy Jo Claffey writing our songs, playing keyboard, and singing lead vocals; Ashley Keith working her magic on the drums; AmyBeth Fisher singing awesome vocal harmonies; Hannah Fisher beatboxing and singing backup vocals; and Lily Shirley playing bass, acoustic guitar, and clarinet. Our sound together is like butter, seriously: Butter melting on piece of cinnamon toast your favorite aunt made you when you came by on an autumn day… okay we got carried away in our analogy, obviously, but you get the picture.
